Or Clean the jack with a Q-tip lightly dampened in alcohol?

How do I clean a headphone or aux jack properly and safely? There are three primary methods of cleaning a headphone or auxiliary jack properly and safely: wiping inside with a swab and alcohol, spraying the inside of the jack with compressed air,(if you do not have alcohol or compressed air)carefully brushing with a very fine brush, or a padded Paperclip.

1-Clean your headphone jack with cotton swabs and alcohol

In order to clean the headphone jack with cotton swabs/q-tips, you can buy the alcohol cotton swabs and each stick is coated with alcohol, then use it to wipe down all areas of the inside. Alcohol is fine because it evaporates quickly and it will kill anything inside the jack.

WARNING!  Improper use could cause damage to the device.

Sometimes, repeatedly inserting and removing headphones into the jack can clean it out. This won’t reach the very inside of the jack, but when combined with rubbing alcohol, can be very effective. Make sure the device is off before ever using liquids on a device. Rubbing alcohol has a chance of corroding metal and should be used scarcely. Put some alcohol on the end of your headphones on the jack (do NOT pour it in the headphone jack hole). Wipe the jack with a clean, dry towel before inserting. Repeatedly insert and remove your headphone jack from the device after the alcohol has dried.

2)-Compressed Air

If you have an air duster at home, you can use it to dust your headphone jack. The pressurized air will help you remove the dirt. Perhaps this is one of the easiest ways to upkeep crevices in most devices.

Place your pressurized air and leave a centimeter or so of space between the two from your headphone jack. Point the nozzle to your aux port and gently let the air out.

Air dusters are hugely useful for cleaning tech hardware, given their ability to push dirt and dust out of the smallest areas. In addition, air dusters are affordable and easy to find, and you can use an air duster to remove dirt from your audio jack.

WARMING!Do not put the duster nozzle inside your headphone jack. The air within the canister is pressurized enough that it can remove dirt from the jack externally. Placing the nozzle within the jack and releasing this pressurized air could damage your headphone jack permanently, so avoid doing this.

 3)-Interdental Brushes

Interdental brushes are easily available in supermarkets and convenience stores. You can also get this item on Wellyp if you purchase the earbuds from us. The bristles are good enough to remove dirt found inside your aux port. You can damp the bristles with rubbing alcohol. Avoid soaking it. *Gently insert the taped paper clip inside your headphone jack.

*Slowly twist the paper clip to clean your earbuds jack.
